The central subject is a cluster of variegated leaves, exhibiting prominent longitudinal stripes of deep purple and silvery-green. These ovate-lanceolate leaves culminate in pointed apices. A small, dark-colored insect, possibly an ant, is visible on one of the upper-left striped leaves. Surrounding the central plant are several larger, solid green, broadly ovate leaves with visible venation, originating from an adjacent plant, overlapping from the top and left. A senescent, elongated, yellow leaf or stem with minor brown discoloration runs vertically along the right side of the frame.
