The foreground and left two-thirds of the frame are dominated by a steep earthen embankment, composed of reddish-brown soil, heavily covered with dry, light-brown grass and sparse green foliage near its base. Significant erosion is evident on the embankment, with a distinct vertical gully revealing darker soil in the lower-middle section and a horizontal cut-like edge in the mid-ground. A narrow, dark-grey, gravel-paved road occupies the right side of the frame, running parallel to the embankment. A thin strip of dusty ground with minimal vegetation separates the road from the base of the slope. A single piece of white litter is visible on the ground near the base of the embankment. Green tree foliage is faintly visible at the very top right of the background. No people or animals are present.
