The cake comprises two distinct dark red cake layers alternating with two thick layers of light pink to white cream or frosting. The top of the cake is garnished with numerous irregular white chocolate shavings, some exhibiting faint reddish discoloration, possibly from the cake itself. Minor cake crumbs and residue from the cream are visible on the white plate surface, particularly at the base of the cake slice. The metallic tip of an eating utensil is partially visible on the right side of the plate. The background is uniformly out of focus, appearing as a solid, dark grey-green field.
