An upward-angle, eye-level photograph depicts the facade of a temple building in Baan Mae Nam, Thailand, under a partly cloudy sky

Baan Mae NamThailand

An upward-angle, eye-level photograph depicts the facade of a temple building in Baan Mae Nam, Thailand, under a partly cloudy sky. The central structure features a prominent red, multi-tiered roof with extensive gold ornamentation and finials. A highly detailed gold and blue gable adorns the upper portion of the facade, presenting a central deity figure. Below, the light beige-colored building facade includes two sets of reddish-brown double doors, each flanked by golden decorative panels and topped with blue and gold motifs. Two symmetrical concrete staircases ascend towards the temple's entrance, converging at an upper landing. The balustrades supporting these stairs are light beige with red and gold accents, capped by large, green-scaled Naga (serpent) sculptures that function as handrails. Centered directly in front of the stairs, at ground level, stands an ornate, multi-tiered golden shrine structure. This shrine features intricate black and gold filigree, a golden spire, and an open niche containing a small grey Buddha statue positioned before a circular Dharmachakra symbol. A single individual, dressed in dark clothing, is partially visible on the upper right landing, near the temple entrance. The ground in the immediate foreground is tiled and shows signs of wear and minor discoloration. Green foliage from trees is present on both the left and right sides of the temple, indicating a surrounding natural environment.
