Suwon-siSouth Korea

A spherical Audion vacuum tube, approximately 10 cm tall, is centrally displayed on a white, angled plinth. The clear glass tube contains internal components, including a dark rectangular plate and a thin filament, and features a threaded base. Its upper section is labeled "ULTRAAUDION," "DE FOREST," "AUDION FILAMENT," and "PATENTED NOV. 13 1906." Two thin wires, one with a small red insulator, extend upwards from the tube's apex. The Audion is supported by a clear acrylic stand, which in turn rests on the plinth. The plinth is inscribed with "Spherical Audion," "Lee de Forest / 1907," and "삼극진공관" in black text. The background is a brightly illuminated white surface. No individuals are visible. This scene is located in Suwon-si, South Korea.
