Two multi-story apartment buildings, constructed with light-colored concrete and reddish-brown bands, frame a central sandy, debris-strewn ground. Both buildings show extensive damage, including numerous small impact marks across their facades, shattered windows, missing windowpanes often replaced by tarps or plastic sheeting, and sections where walls have been structurally compromised or blown out, exposing interiors. Red fabric hangs from a window on the upper floors of the left building. The ground between the buildings is unpaved, consisting of sand and substantial amounts of concrete rubble and debris.
