The scene depicts a collection of traditional beaded jewelry displayed within a wooden-framed, glass-fronted case, located in Arusha, Tanzania. The interior of the case features a plain white back panel against which various necklaces and beaded items are either hung or draped. Prominently displayed are two large, multi-strand necklaces. The one on the left consists of numerous dark brown, flat oval beads interspersed with smaller spherical and cylindrical beads in shades of blue, orange, and natural tones, terminating in a dense, tassel-like cluster of small, multicolored beads. The necklace on the right is similarly constructed, featuring large dark beads, some translucent green elements, and various small multicolored beads, also forming a comparable tassel. Above these main pieces, two identical or very similar necklaces hang from dark circular hoops. Each of these features a sequence of elongated, dark brown or metallic beads alternating with cylindrical white beads. Below these, two single strands of small, round, orange beads are visible, hanging vertically. At the bottom center, a large, ornate necklace is showcased. It is composed of substantial dark disc beads and rounded, light green beads, leading to a prominent, spherical, brass-toned metallic pendant with an intricate pattern. From this central pendant, three long, cylindrical bundles of densely packed, small, brightly colored beads (primarily blue, yellow, red, and orange) descend. A separate, identical single bundle of colorful beads hangs to the far right. To the left side of the display, a partial view of a colorful, multi-beaded item is visible at the top. Below it is a necklace made of small, dark beads with a large, flat, circular metallic pendant featuring an etched design. A loop of blue-grey crystalline or faceted beads is situated beneath this. A thin, vibrant green and yellow beaded strand also hangs in the bottom-left section. Small white identification or price tags are discernible near the hanging points of several items. The display case itself is constructed of reddish-brown wood with a visible grain, and a metallic clasp secures the right side of the frame.
