An antique, heavily rusted dark reddish-brown cannon is prominently displayed outdoors within Phú Xuân Ward, Vietnam. The cannon, oriented vertically in the frame with its cascabel at the bottom, exhibits significant surface corrosion, characteristic of weathered iron or bronze. Vertical Chinese characters are discernible on the upper portion of its main barrel. A cylindrical trunnion is visible extending horizontally from the left side of the upper barrel. The breech section features decorative rings and a rectangular protrusion before tapering into a spherical cascabel knob at its base. The cannon rests on a multi-tiered, light gray concrete or stone block base, which shows signs of minor cracking and wear. Strong, directional sunlight from the upper right casts sharp shadows from the cannon and the stepped base onto adjacent surfaces and the dark, textured ground below, which appears to be a paved or stone surface with hints of reddish-brown brickwork in the upper left background. No individuals are present in the image.
