Stake attention in this memory
This is a ground-level, full-frame, eye-level, outdoor, daytime photograph taken in Haizhu District, China. The image depicts a street scene with a sidewalk, trees, red lanterns, and parked motorcycles. In the foreground, a wide, paved sidewalk runs from the bottom right of the frame towards the background. The sidewalk is constructed of large, grey stone tiles, some of which appear worn and cracked. To the left of the sidewalk, there is a tree with a thick trunk, its base surrounded by artificial green turf within a square stone planter. White rope is wrapped around the trunk of this tree in a spiral pattern. Hanging from wires that stretch between trees and utility poles are numerous red, cylindrical lanterns with Chinese characters visible on them. These lanterns are strung at varying heights. Behind the tree and turf area, a black metal fence separates the sidewalk from a street. Parked in a row against the fence are several dark-colored motorcycles and scooters. The street itself is paved and has white lane markings. Across the street, there are more trees, green bushes, and a glimpse of a building with a red awning on the far right. Further in the background, two cream-colored tents are erected on a paved area. The sky is cloudy with patches of blue sky visible. The scene is devoid of people. The overall impression is of an urban environment with elements of traditional Chinese decoration (lanterns) and a functional streetscape.
