This image depicts the ornate interior of the Temple of Saint Sava in Belgrade, Serbia, captured from a low angle looking upwards towards the main dome and surrounding vaults. The dominant feature is the extensive use of gold mosaic artwork covering all visible ceiling and wall surfaces. At the apex of the central dome, a large mosaic of a divine figure, identified as Christ Pantocrator, is prominently displayed with outstretched arms, set against a dark blue, star-studded circular background. This central figure is encircled by an array of smaller mosaic figures, including saints and angels, all rendered against a radiant gold mosaic field. Below the main dome, across the curved pendentives and secondary vaults, numerous additional mosaic panels illustrate various biblical scenes and individual religious figures. Examples include a figure depicted writing at a desk, indicative of an Evangelist, and groups of individuals in religious contexts. Arched windows with grid patterns are visible along the base of the dome and in lower wall sections, admitting natural light. A large, circular, multi-tiered chandelier, adorned with numerous illuminated lights designed to resemble candles, hangs centrally in the lower half of the frame, suspended by metallic chains. The scene is devoid of living individuals; all visible people are artistic representations within the mosaic artworks.
