A weathered, light brown, gargoyle-like stone carving functions as a waterspout, mounted centrally on an outdoor wall in Stiperstones, United Kingdom
A weathered, light brown, gargoyle-like stone carving functions as a waterspout, mounted centrally on an outdoor wall in Stiperstones, United Kingdom. The carving depicts a stylized face with prominent brow ridges, upward-curving horn-like protrusions, and a dark circular metal spout protruding from its mouth area. A single visible screw secures the carving above its right horn. It is affixed to a circular panel of white square tiles, approximately five to six tiles in diameter, with visible grout lines. This tiled panel is framed by a radially arranged arch of dark grey, rectangular tiles, which exhibit vertical water streaks. Surrounding this arched frame, the wall consists of irregularly shaped natural stones, including lighter, possibly quartz or flint, fragments, all set in a light grey mortar. No individuals or dynamic actions are present in the scene.
