The sky is largely overcast with extensive dark grey, stratified clouds covering approximately the upper two-thirds of the frame. A horizontal band of intense orange-yellow light is visible along the distant horizon, positioned beneath the main cloud layer and above the sea. Dark, mountainous landmasses are silhouetted against this bright horizon light. The sea exhibits a dark blue-grey color with active wave patterns, including whitecaps, as waves break onto the shore. The immediate foreground consists of a pebble beach composed of small, dark grey and brown stones. Partially submerged in the shallow water close to the shore, slightly to the left of the image center, is a derelict, rectangular metal frame, likely a remnant of a man-made structure. A smaller, dark rectangular object, possibly a concrete block, is also visible on the wet gravel beach to the left of the metal frame.
