BedugulIndonesia

The image displays a Balinese Candi Bentar (split gate) at Pura Ulun Danu Beratan in Bedugul, Bali, Indonesia. The gate consists of two tall, dark grey stone structures, each elaborately carved with traditional Balinese mythological figures and decorative patterns. These structures stand on a multi-tiered stone base accessed by three grey stone steps in the foreground. A dark rope barrier is strung between a brown wooden post on the left and the base of the right gate structure. At the base of the right gate structure, a stone guardian figure, identified as a Dwarapala, is partially draped with a red, white, and black checkered sarong. A similar, partially visible guardian figure at the base of the left structure is draped in a light-colored sarong. Through the central opening of the split gate, the tranquil, grey-blue water of Lake Bratan is visible. On the far side of the lake, a range of steep, densely forested mountains rises into the background. The sky above is partly cloudy, with white clouds scattered across a blue expanse. A small, multi-roofed structure with a red tile accent and a yellow fabric covering is discernible at the lake's edge, positioned between the two gate pillars. No individuals are present or engaged in activity within the frame.
