KoyalaguttapalliIndia

A detailed bas-relief carving on a weathered grey speckled granite pillar is centrally featured, located in Koyalaguttapalli, India. The carving depicts a four-armed anthropomorphic figure, likely a deity, standing frontally. The figure's upper left hand holds a chakra (discus), its lower left hand is raised in an abhaya mudra (gesture of fearlessness), its upper right hand grasps a shankha (conch shell), and its lower right hand holds a gada (mace). The figure wears an elaborate crown and its facial features are stylized. Red vermilion marks are visible on the crown, forehead, and on the stone base directly beneath the carving, indicative of recent ritual application. The granular stone surface shows minor weathering and wear. The immediate background to the left reveals a partial white lattice structure, while to the right, an outdoor area with reddish-brown earth and a pale sky with distant elements is visible.
