The scene depicts an interior wall located in Cherven Bryag, Bulgaria. The wall is covered in wallpaper featuring a repeating pattern of interlocking wavy or sinuous shapes in red, black, and gray on a white background. Five rectangular panels are mounted horizontally on the wall. The two leftmost panels are solid black. The central two panels form a continuous black and white photographic depiction of a lion's head and upper body, facing forward. The rightmost panel is also solid black. A small, crumpled paper, appearing to be a "MILK CHOCOLATE" wrapper with an image of two figures, is affixed to the wallpaper above the second black panel from the left.
