A large, bipedal metal horse sculpture stands on a packed dirt surface in Karanga, Tanzania

KarangaTanzania

A large, bipedal metal horse sculpture stands on a packed dirt surface in Karanga, Tanzania. The sculpture is composed of welded metallic components, including visible gears, chains, and sheet metal, forming an equine figure. A metallic saddle assembly is present on its dorsal surface, with stirrups suspended from its lateral aspects. A singular, circular, red-painted element is affixed to the sculpture's left anterior torso. In the immediate foreground to the left, a light-brown tarp, approximately 2.5 meters in length, lies horizontally on the ground, secured by several dark-colored rocks. A smaller, irregular white fabric piece rests centrally on the brown tarp. To the immediate right of the sculpture, a distinct wet patch, roughly 1.5 meters in diameter, marks the dirt surface, with several small rocks embedded or resting within it. Behind the sculpture, an unpaved road, approximately 3-4 meters wide, curves gently to the right, bordered by dense green herbaceous vegetation and shrubbery. Mature trees with full canopies are visible in the background against a bright, uniform sky. No human figures or active processes are depicted.
