The image depicts a devotional candle-lighting station in Shiroka Laka, Bulgaria
The image depicts a devotional candle-lighting station in Shiroka Laka, Bulgaria. A large, dark-toned metal structure, possibly copper or bronze, with hammered decorative patterns and a pyramidal top, stands prominently in the foreground. Its central section features an open rectangular recess. Inside this recess, approximately 17 to 20 slender, yellow wax candles are lit, standing upright in a bed of light-colored sand, their flames actively burning. The background on the right consists of a textured stone wall composed of irregularly shaped, mortared stones. A small, rounded stone object with a metal loop is embedded within this stone wall. To the upper left, a segment of a plain white wall or ceiling is visible, along with an exposed horizontal wooden beam. A small amount of green foliage is partially visible in the bottom right corner of the frame. No individuals are present.
