An overhead view captures an outdoor cooking scene in Gol'yanskii, Russia. A large, black, cast-iron cauldron, approximately 60-70 cm in diameter, contains numerous irregularly shaped pieces of reddish-brown food, consistent with meat or vegetables, actively cooking and emitting white steam. The cauldron is recessed into a dark, rectangular metal stove or stand, which appears to be supported by, or adjacent to, reddish-orange bricks on the ground. The immediate surroundings are covered in snow, with sunlight casting shadows. To the left of the cauldron, a clear plastic bottle with a white label, containing a transparent liquid, rests on an unseen surface. In the lower left foreground, parts of two feet are visible; one wears a dark, possibly rubber, boot, and the other wears a blue boot with a light-colored, fuzzy cuff.
