This image depicts an outdoor woodworking area in Zongon Daji, Nigeria, under daylight conditions. The foreground is covered with a dense layer of light-brown wood shavings and chips, mixed with scattered small plastic debris. In the midground, a prominent stack of ten unfinished, light-colored wooden cylindrical mortars or containers is arranged. Seven are stacked horizontally, forming a base, with three more resting atop them. Each mortar is hollowed out, revealing the internal grain. Two individuals with dark skin are actively working in the midground behind the stacked mortars. The person on the left wears a red short-sleeved shirt and red shorts, bending forward with their head obscured. To their right, a second individual, bare-chested or wearing dark upper clothing, is also bent over, engaged in work. The background features a makeshift structure constructed from weathered wooden planks and raw wooden supports. A blue tarp or fabric is visible behind part of this structure.
