A photograph reveals a religious altar within an interior space, possibly a home, located in Da Lat, Vietnam
A photograph reveals a religious altar within an interior space, possibly a home, located in Da Lat, Vietnam. The altar, constructed of dark wood, features a red and gold sign with Vietnamese characters centered between two gold-colored figures, presumably deities. A row of small white cups sits below the sign. Incense sticks stand upright in a small dish in front of the sign. Atop the wooden altar, a glass jar containing small objects and two Maneki Neko, or beckoning cat figurines, are visible. In front of the altar, on a stone or concrete surface supported by wooden legs, sits a large green pomelo resting on a bed of dried straw. To the left of the pomelo, a plastic bag containing white matter rests on a saucer placed on top of a Honda-branded cup. To the right of the pomelo, a shallow ceramic bowl holds coins submerged in water. A white vase filled with pink alstroemeria flowers is also situated on the right side of the altar. The background wall is painted in a shade of brownish-orange. Other objects are partially visible behind and to the left of the altar.
