The image displays a detailed section of the Coke Monument (Thomas William Coke, 1st Earl of Leicester's Column) located in Holkham Park, Holkham, within the district of North Norfolk, United Kingdom. The central subject is a large, fluted classical column, constructed from weathered, light-colored stone, ascending from a square plinth. The visible face of the plinth features a stone relief sculpture depicting seven male figures in historical attire. One figure is seated at a table, another is seated in a prominent chair, and five other figures stand around them, appearing to be in a formal discussion or meeting. Above this relief, on the corner of the plinth, the inscription "LIVE AND LET LIVE." is carved into the stone. Resting on the top ledge of the plinth, at the base of the column, is a weathered stone sculpture of a wheeled cannon or field gun, heavily encrusted with lichen and moss. A similar, partial stone element is visible to its left. The base of the monument consists of multi-tiered stone steps, also covered in significant patches of moss and lichen. The environment features an overcast grey sky and the bare, gnarled branches of a deciduous tree visible against the sky on the right side of the frame.
