ZacatlánMexico

A large mosaic mural, composed of various natural stones and tiles, covers the entire facade of a building situated on Calle Ciudad Juárez in the Historic Center of Zacatlán de las Manzanas, Puebla, Mexico. The mural depicts a bustling, stylized street scene of Zacatlán. The mosaic's upper section features a cloudy sky with scattered birds, transitioning into a background cityscape with multiple buildings, including structures with prominent steeples and domes. The mid-ground portrays several multi-story buildings with detailed windows and balconies. A central building is labeled "LA AURORA BOREAL" above its entrance. The foreground of the mural shows a downward-sloping cobblestone street occupied by numerous small, stylized figures of people, many wearing hats, engaged in various activities. Several vintage-style vehicles, including flatbed trucks and buses, are positioned along the street. A mosaic street lamp is also depicted. An informational plaque in the upper right quadrant of the mosaic displays text including "ZACATLAN DE LAS MANZANAS," "CENTRO HISTORICO," and "CD. JUAREZ 1987." Above the actual building facade, a real, dark, ornate street lamp post extends upwards from the left. Utility wires and a small electrical junction box are affixed to the top right edge of the building. Below the mural, a rough stone retaining wall is partially covered with sparse green vegetation, separating the mural from a gray concrete or asphalt surface, likely a sidewalk or road, in the immediate foreground. The sky above the building is overcast with visible clouds.
