A domestic cat, exhibiting tabby markings with brown and grey stripes on its back and head, and a white underside, chest, and paws, is observed lying on its back on a light grey, granular concrete or asphalt surface. Its front paws are curled inward towards its chest, and its hind legs are slightly bent. The cat's head is tilted slightly to its right, and its eyes are partially open. Strong sunlight illuminates the scene from the right, casting distinct shadows behind the cat and larger, out-of-frame shadows in the upper left. A faint, linear seam or crack runs across the ground surface. The scene is situated in a public area within the city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria.
