This image depicts the Koprinka Dam in Koprinka, Bulgaria, viewed from an elevated position. The scene features a concrete dam structure containing a body of water, likely a reservoir or a section of the Tundzha River. In the foreground, the immediate terrain consists of a rocky, earthy slope covered with dry grass and leafless bushes. A set of concrete steps descends into the lower right of the frame. A crumpled piece of white refuse is present on the ground near the steps. The central feature is a dark grey-brown body of water, reflecting sunlight in various ripples. This water is contained by a substantial concrete dam on the right, which includes visible sluice gates or spillway sections, and extends into a flat concrete apron on the left. The concrete apron shows a distinct band of dark orange-brown discoloration where it meets a higher retaining wall. Beyond the water and retaining wall, the landscape includes a line of bare deciduous trees and some coniferous trees. A small, light-colored rectangular building stands behind the retaining wall on the far bank. Further to the right, a multi-level concrete building with railings is situated atop the main dam structure, with a blue pole-mounted light fixture nearby. The background consists of a forested hillside under an overcast sky, with patches of brighter sunlight visible through the clouds. A large pine tree partially frames the left side of the image, with its branches extending into the upper left quadrant. No individuals are present in the visible area.
