This image depicts the lower level of the Vorobyovy Gory (Sparrow Hills) Metro Bridge, also known as the Luzhniki Metro Bridge, located in Moscow, Russia. The view is from a pedestrian pathway looking forward and slightly upwards beneath the bridge's structure during winter conditions. The scene is dominated by the colossal underside of the bridge, forming a long, covered corridor. Its ceiling consists of a grid-like pattern of light-colored, possibly concrete or painted metal, beams and coffers. This structure is supported by multiple rows of thick, cylindrical white pillars that extend upwards from the ground. Black, ornamental lampposts with white globe lights are affixed to some of these pillars or stand independently along the walkway. The pedestrian path is paved with asphalt, partially covered by compacted snow and ice, exhibiting a mottled dark grey and white appearance. In the middle distance, a group of approximately 10-15 individuals, dressed in winter coats, are gathered near the entrance to what appears to be a building or tunnel integrated into the bridge's base; this is the lower entrance to the Vorobyovy Gory metro station. The structure around the entrance is clad in grey, possibly stone or concrete panels, with a sign visible above the opening. On both sides of the pathway, the ground slopes upwards, covered in fresh snow. Numerous bare deciduous trees with dark branches are visible on these snow-covered slopes, indicating a winter season. The sky is overcast, contributing to diffuse lighting. A faint, hazy outline of distant city structures can be discerned beyond the bridge's span in the far background.
