The image displays an urban street scene in Sofia, Bulgaria, under an overcast, light grey sky

SofiaBulgaria

The image displays an urban street scene in Sofia, Bulgaria, under an overcast, light grey sky. The central feature in the mid-ground is the Millennium Center complex, comprising two high-rise buildings: a taller, modern structure with a distinctive curved, angular glass facade and a rooftop helipad, and an adjacent, slightly shorter, rectangular glass-paneled high-rise. In the foreground, a multi-lane asphalt road curves gently to the left, marked with white solid and yellow broken lines. Three passenger vehicles are visible on this road, traveling away from the viewer; a dark-colored sedan occupies the leftmost visible lane. To the immediate left of the road, a concrete sidewalk edge is partially visible, along with a tall streetlight featuring dual lamp arms. To the right of the road, a low, yellow concrete barrier, adorned with dark graffiti, separates the roadway from a set of tram tracks. Beyond this barrier, a blue tram car is stationary at a covered tram stop structure. Overhead power lines for the tram system are present above this area. Further in the background, various urban buildings of mixed architectural styles are visible, interspersed with bare deciduous trees and some evergreen foliage. Multiple flags, including prominent white and red examples, are visible near the tram stop and on the left side of the street. No pedestrians are distinctly visible in the immediate foreground.
