Central to the image is a weathered, light-brown, flower-shaped ceramic or clay incense burner. Two yellow incense sticks are vertically inserted into the central stem of the burner; their upper tips are blackened, indicating recent combustion. Surrounding the burner is a significant accumulation of fine grey ash and several darker, elongated, spent incense remnants.
