An ornate, multi-segment wall hanging is suspended against an off-white textured wall in the city of Akhundzadakhail, Pakistan
An ornate, multi-segment wall hanging is suspended against an off-white textured wall in the city of Akhundzadakhail, Pakistan. The hanging forms an irregular, honeycomb-like arrangement of interconnected hexagonal units. Each hexagon features a central copper-colored, multi-pronged metallic disc, surrounded by radial segments of glittering purple material that resemble petals, outlined with copper-colored thread or fine wire. The base of each hexagonal unit is white. A crumpled black plastic bag is partially visible behind the top-left portion of the hanging. A thin, light-colored twine extends from the top-left of the hanging, attaching to the leftmost of three painted metal hooks that protrude from a horizontal fixture mounted on the wall. This fixture is off-white, showing areas of chipped red paint beneath the white coating. The off-white wall displays textured plaster and minor cracking. The scene is devoid of human presence.
