The image displays a shallow coastal area within Shanzu ward, Kenya, under a clear blue sky
The image displays a shallow coastal area within Shanzu ward, Kenya, under a clear blue sky. The foreground consists of transparent, sunlit water no more than knee-deep, revealing a light-colored, possibly sandy, bottom with scattered dark organic matter. Ripples are present on the water's surface. In the midground, four individuals are visible in the shallow water. From left to right: a bald Caucasian male, shirtless and wearing blue patterned swim briefs, is walking right-to-left, his legs submerged and creating small splashes. Behind him and to the right, three individuals with dark skin tones are wading or standing. The first, partially obscured by the male, appears to wear light-colored clothing. The second wears a pink top and light-colored bottoms. The third, positioned further right, wears a bright pink one-piece swimsuit and stands facing right. Shadows of these individuals are cast onto the water to their right. In the background, a distinct band of deeper, turquoise-green water extends across the frame, populated by numerous small, indistinct figures engaged in various water activities. A single, triangular sail, possibly from a small boat or windsurfer, is visible on the far right horizon of the water. The horizon line is clear, separating the water from a bright, unclouded blue sky, with a very faint lighter blue band visible just above the horizon.
