In the immediate foreground on the left, a concrete drainage channel partially filled with water runs parallel to the main thoroughfare. Adjacent to the channel is a rudimentary market stall constructed from black metal framing, covered by a reddish-brown tarp or awning. Various dark, indeterminate objects are present on and around the stall, including what appears to be a black seat or container. To the right of the drainage channel is a paved sidewalk constructed from grey interlocking bricks laid in a herringbone pattern, running the length of the image. To the right of the sidewalk is an asphalt road, appearing damp or wet. Its edge is delineated by a continuous white line closest to the sidewalk and a broken white line further into the lane.
