An adult Nile crocodile (Crocodylus niloticus) is depicted resting on its ventral side on a dirt and stone surface within an enclosure at the Jos Wildlife Park in Jos, Nigeria. The crocodile, oriented with its head towards the top of the frame and its tail extending towards the bottom, displays a robust, gray-green scaly body with visible scutes along its dorsal surface. Its four limbs are splayed outwards, and its head is slightly elevated. The ground consists of light brown and greyish soil, unevenly covered with various sizes of irregular stones and fragmented concrete. Scattered small green leaves and a few desiccated light-colored leaves are present on the ground surface. No human subjects or other animals are visible. The crocodile exhibits a static posture, indicating rest.
