KoyalaguttapalliIndia

A weathered grey granite pillar, located in Koyalaguttapalli, India, stands vertically on a flat, light-grey stone surface. The pillar features a central relief carving of an anthropomorphic figure, rendered frontally and standing. The figure is depicted with an elaborate, tiered crown or headwear, visible armaments or jewelry on its chest and waist, and a dhoti-like garment with discernible folds. Its right hand is raised to chest level with an open palm, while its left hand holds a downward-extending staff or mace. The figure is framed by a stylized arched outline with decorative elements at the top of the relief. To the left of the pillar's base, a small, dark, circular, shallow vessel or bowl rests on the ground. Behind the pillar, a white metal railing extends horizontally, marking the edge of a platform. Further in the background, green foliage and trees are visible on the left, while on the right, cultivated green agricultural fields with distinct rectangular plots stretch towards distant, undulating hills under a pale, overcast sky. The entire scene is illuminated by ambient daylight.
