WoteKenya

This image depicts a street scene in Wote, Kenya, observed at dusk or dawn. A paved asphalt road, dark in tone, curves gently to the left and recedes into the background. A raised concrete sidewalk borders the right side of the road, while a dirt shoulder flanks the left. On the left side of the road, a tall, light-colored street light pole with an overhead fixture stands prominently. Behind it, dense green foliage is visible. Further along the road on the left, a multi-story building, likely a block of flats, appears with light-colored facades and numerous dark-framed windows. Several water tanks are present on its roof. Overhead power lines traverse the scene, connecting to various utility poles. On the right side of the image, adjacent to the sidewalk, a series of single-story commercial structures or shops are visible. These buildings are predominantly painted a distinctive green. A wooden utility pole, also green, stands in the foreground on the far right, covered with various plastered papers and advertisements. Several indistinct individuals (approximately 3-5) are gathered or seated outside one of the green structures, near the sidewalk. The horizon in the background reveals a subtle elevated landmass or hill. The sky above features scattered clouds, displaying muted blue, grey, and faint yellow-orange hues, consistent with low light conditions. No vehicles are present on the visible section of the road.
