A single, dark-bodied insect, approximately 1.5-2 cm in length, rests stationary on a textured, light gray surface. The insect, consistent with an earwig (Dermaptera), exhibits a dark head with visible antennae, a lighter brown thorax, and a dark, elongated abdomen terminating in prominent pincer-like cerci. Two translucent wings are partially visible, folded over the abdomen. Six dark legs are splayed from the thorax.
